Victoria Day Long Weekend Fireworks and Events In Oakville And The Greater Toronto Area

There is so much in store for plenty of family adventures this May Long Weekend! The following is a list of both firework destinations and fun activities to do with the family throughout the long weekend.

Celebrate Victoria Day, the first long weekend of summer, by enjoying family fun in Oakville and the surrounding areas.

All events and activities are within one hour of Oakville.


Oakville


King's Community Church – Sunday, May 17th at approximately 9pm

Families and neighbours are encouraged to bring fireworks for the staff and volunteers at King’s church for a celebratory show set to music.  Don't forget a blanket or some lawn chairs!

Location: 528 Burnhamthorpe Road West (@Neyagawa Blvd)


Spring Tyme on the Farm – Monday, May 18th- noon to 4pm

Step back into time and enjoy a truly Victorian Victoria Day on the farm. There will be baking in the wood burning stove , fun Victorian games of the past, self guided tours to see the gorgeous Trillium flowers, visit the farm yard and animals and of course play the AWSOME play yard

Location: Spruce Lane Farmhouse, Bronte Creek Provincial Park, 1219 Burloak Drive, Oakville

Admission: $16.00 per vehicle


Mississauga


Mississauga Pep Rally: Kites, Ice Cream and Bunny Hopping Shows

Monday, May 18, Noon – 4pm

If you like Ice Cream, Kite Flying and Bunnies, than this is the event for you and your family! Be amazed by the soaring kite shows, Check out the bunny hopping shows, make your own kite and eat plenty of wonderful ice cream too!

Location: Mississauga Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Drive, Mississauga

Milton


Milton Boomfest – Saturday, May 16 to Monday, May 18 (Fireworks Sunday & Monday)

From 10am to dusk the Milton Fairgrounds will feature a midway, a delicious selection of food, vendors, a variety of family fun entertainment, and of course Fireworks at dusk on Sunday and Monday too!

Location: Milton Fairgrounds, 136 Robert Street, Milton

Admission: $3.00 per person and Children under 4 yrs FREE


Toronto


Toronto International Circus Festival – Saturday, May 16 – Monday, May 18

Come have some fun at the circus this Victoria Day weekend. Enjoy performances by acrobats and jugglers and clowns. Try tumbling and check out the sites aboard the HarbourKIDS Express.

Location: Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West, Toronto

Admission: Free


Pirates and Princesses at Black Creek Pioneer Village– Saturday, May 16 – Monday, May 18

Come dressed as your favourite pirate or princess and don't forget the eye patch or tiara too! This will be a celebration of fairy tales with such favourites as Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, and Peter Pan. There will be plenty of interactive family entertainment with village wide treasure hunts and Prince and Princess lessons too!

Teddy Bears' Picnic at Centreville Amusement Park – Saturday, May 16 – Monday, May 18

Bring your loveable stuffed animal to Centreville Amusement Park for a healthy heart check-up!  There will also be tons of other kid friendly activities to keep everyone busy for the entire afternoon! Open from 11am until 4pm.

Location: Centreville Amusement Park, Centre Island, Toronto

Admission: Free


Fort York Victoria Day – Monday, May 18, 10am – 5pm

Come celebrate Queen Victoria’s birthday at Fort York, the birthplace of Toronto. There will be plenty children's entertainment such as the soldier’s drill, demonstrations of Georgian-era cooking techniques in one of the oldest kitchens in Toronto, English country dancing, tours and more!

Admission: Adults $7.96, Seniors /Youth: $4.87, Children (6-12yrs): $3.76 (plus tax). Children 5 and under are free


Fireworks at Canada’s Wonderland – Sunday, May 17

Bring the family for the day and enjoy over 200 rides and attractions and end the day with AWSOME  fireworks over Wonder Mountain (fireworks at 10pm).

Location: Canada’s Wonderland, 9580 Jane St, Vaughan

Admission: Regular rates apply


Victoria Day Fireworks at Ashbridge’s Bay Park – Monday, May 18th (evening)

Enjoy breathtaking Fireworks at Ashbridge’s Bay in Toronto!

Location: Ashbridge’s Bay Park, Lake Shore Boulevard East at the foot of Coxwell Avenue and is easily accessible by public transit.

Admission: Free


Stouffville


Fireworks & Family Movie Night– Sunday, May 17th, 7pm start

Bring the family to enjoy dazzling fireworks and then stay to enjoy watching Penguins of Madagascar after. There will be yummy treats and refreshments for purchase too.

Location: Ballantrae Community Park, 5592 Aurora Road, Whitchurch-Stouffville

Admission: Free


Nobleton


Victoria Day Celebration in Nobleton – Monday, May 18th, 11am until dusk

A lot of family fun activities are in store in Nobleton! To start the day there will be the Township of King Parade at 11am, followed by plenty of midway rides, children's activities and entertainment. Fireworks begin at Dark!

Location: Nobleton Arena Grounds, 15 Old King Road, Nobleton
