Our topic of discussion for this week's Every Little Step new mom and baby program in partnership with Walmart Canada was safety. Only one mama had taken a CPR/first aid course before her baby arrived and about a handful have now taken a course since baby has been born. Taking a CPR/first aid course is very useful and empowering as a parent so here's a list of where you can find course options in and around Oakville.
Momstown is pleased to have partnered with Canadian Red Cross and offered CPR classes to our program pass holders (watch the calendar for another date this year). The Canadian Red Cross offers a wide array of class options including Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR and Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR. You can click here to find a course in your area. There are several being offered in the next few months across Halton.
Many courses to choose from including a new parents course (also a great refresher for grandparents or other family members that will be caring for your baby). Click here to see courses offered in Halton.
3. First Aid 4U
First Aid 4U is a private company that offers WSIB approved First Aid and CPR training courses throughout Ontario and they are one of the fastest growing training companies in Canada offering a large number of public courses. Click here to see their south Mississauga course dates.

A great first step towards safety in the home is child proofing. You can check out options for products you can use in Walmart Canada's baby health and safety section. And don't worry about having to carry those bulky baby gates home, just order them online and have them shipped to your door as shipping is always free from walmart.ca.
