If you haven't had a chance to watch some of the excellent kids programming on Kids CBC, the addition of adorable Bookaboo gives you more reasons than ever. Bookaboo is a world famous rock puppy who tours the world with his band, playing drums to packed stadiums of adoring fans. However, there's just one hitch for the rock puppy superstar – he can't play without a story a day! Each episode features Bookaboo and a famous Canadian celebrity sharing a book. When they're finished reading, Bookaboo rocks the stage and wows the crowd with the best canine drum solo ever! And to top it off, he's got an awesome British accent.
momstown Oakville was thrilled to feature Bookaboo at our March Tales for Tots event. Our book of the month provided by our partner Scholastic Canada was Subway Mouse by Barbara Reid and we watched the Bookaboo episode where Jian Gomeshi and Bookaboo read Subway Mouse together. To help kids channel their inner rock star, we made tamborines with bells so we could join in on Bookaboo's rock concert at the end of the episode.
For many of the moms attending our program, it was the first time they had heard of Bookaboo and were happy to take home a bookmark that will remind them to check out this rock star puppy on Kids CBC weekdays at 10:00AM and at 7:15AM on Saturdays.
As always at our Tales for Tots program, one lucky mama won our book of the month. Congratulations to our winners!
Tales for Tots is one of momstown's Top 12 programs that you will find in all locations across Canada. To find out how to get your momstown Oakville program pass, click here.
