It may have been raining outside during momstown Oakville's May Tales for Tots program but it was sunny inside! After every good rain, there is always a beautiful rainbow. Momstown's curriculum theme of the month for May is colour and rainbows are full of colour so that is the craft Oakville kids worked on today.
Using several different coloured pieces of construction paper, we layered them together to create our multi coloured rainbows! We also added a few cotton ball clouds and stars to finish them off. After some free play we ended the program by reading Ruth Ohi's newest children's book called "Shh! My Brother's Napping". This adorable story tells the tale of a very relatable sitution; there's nothing better than a sleeping child — and nothing harder than keeping an exuberant sibling quiet for that precious naptime! Thank you to Scholastic Canada for providing this funny story.
Congratulations to Carter and his mom! They were the winners this month and got to take home a copy of the book to read again and again.
